Landice Treadmill Frame Size
The Landice L7 frame and the Landice L 8 Frame are the two templates that their treadmills originate from. The main difference between the Landice L7 and Landice L8/L9 is simply the frame size. You can choose from 4 different variations of electronic panels to accompany any of the Landice frames. The variations are the Landice Sport Console, Landice Pro Sport Console, Landice Cardio Console and the Landice Executive Console.
If you are doing research online or have visited your local home fitness retailer you may see different variations of the Landice Treadmill frames. The different frame options are usually determined by what type of use or environment the Landice treadmill will be placed into. A much heavier or much taller person may feel more comfortable on the larger L8/ L9 frame. Also, a person who will spend the majority of the time “running” may find the L8 frame to be more accommodating. The variations of Landice Treadmills are very simple. The first thing to realize is that Landice only makes two different frames. The L7 frame is a good all around size for most people who like to walk or run. A belt of 20” wide and 58” long is more than adequate for most users. The L8/L9 frame is usually designed for larger people or people who want more “room to roam” on their treadmill. The L8/L9 frames are much larger than most treadmills in the fitness industry. Also, the L8/L9 frames are usually found in commercial applications where a multitude of users will be on the treadmill.

Landice Display Consoles
Once you have chosen your appropriate frame size you need to select the electronics panel. What makes this option so great is that you can choose to go very simple or extremely elaborate. Also, if you decide down the road that you want a different electronic panel, you can simply upgrade your Landice electronics. You can always have the latest and greatest without replacing the entire treadmill. Below are your options to go along with your Landice Frame. Any one of these choices can be added to any of the frames listed above. Very simple.
Landice Sport Console
You asked for it, you got it. No “bells and whistles”. The Sport console is for all of you who don’t want to pay extra money for something you feel you will never use. The Landice Sport console features no programs. Speed and Elevation buttons are your main functions on the panel. User feedback includes; time; speed; elevation; calories, distance; pace and pulse (heart rate strap not included). That is it, a very simple display.
Landice Pro Sport Console
The Pro Sport Console has been upgraded quite a bit from last year. It now features a blue back lit LCD display that clearly shows your programs and all of the user statistics and feedback. The main upgrades over the Landice Sport Console are built in programs, the LCD display that displays the progress of your workout in real time, a one touch key pad, and the included wireless heart rate strap. There are 5 built in programs and 5 custom programs. The Landice Pro Sport Console is great for people who like to use built in programs and view their progress in real time. The large LCD display will show both speed and incline in real time. This is good for motivation and general workout feedback during your workout. This display is generally the most popular pick in that it gives a lot of feedback without over doing it. If you want to have all of the necessities, this is a great choice. If you would like to have a treadmill with more heart rate interactive features, you may want to consider the Cardio Console or the Executive Console.
Landice Cardio Console
At first glance, the Landice Cardio Console will seem very similar to the Landice Pro Sport Console. Both consoles have the same LCD display, one touch key pad and button control. The major upgrades from the Landice Pro Sport Console are the built in programs and contact heart rate. The upgraded programs are pre programmed and custom interactive heart rate programs and several built in fitness tests. The interactive heart rate programs are a great addition because they allow for a user to have their workout intensity controlled by heart rate. Basically, you do not have to know how hard you should be working out, you simply have to know what your fitness goal is and the treadmill will do the rest. The Landice Cardio Console will automatically adjust the speed and incline to keep you in your heart rate zone. This takes all of the guess work out of your routine and you can be confident that you are maximizing your time and receiving the most possible benefit. The interactive heart rate programs can be accessed by using either the pre programmed routines or by creating your own custom heart rate interactive workout. The other groups of programs that have been added to the Landice Cardio Console this year are one of a kind, built in fitness tests. These tests include the actual fitness tests that the Army requires their recruits to pass, the Balke fitness test, and U.S Firefighters stress test. These programs will create excitement to your workout and challenge you for years to come.
Overall, the Landice Cardio Console is a great option for anyone who wants to have an all around interactive heart rate workout and challenge themselves with real world fitness tests. The Cardio Console is also a great choice for novice users who do not have much experience with monitoring heart rate and may need some help maximizing their workout. It will not matter what level of knowledge you posses, this is a display that is very easy to use and understand and can challenge even the most experienced walkers and runners.
Landice Executive Console
The Landice Executive Console is a display console that will truly offer every type of program and display feature you could possibly imagine. Some people just want to get on a treadmill and do their work out and they don’t care too much about programs and features. This display is for the people who want the ability to fully interact with their treadmill and customize their work outs while having an amazing amount of exercise feedback. The Landice Executive Console is an incredibly interactive display console and, although easy to use, may provide more information than some people could ever possibly need. In the description of the Landice Sport Console, no “bells and whistles” was used to describe that console. Well, the Executive Console is the “bells and whistles” and then some. This display is for those of you out there that want it all. You name it, this console has it.
Starting off, the giant LCD display is actually the same display that automobile manufacturers use in high end luxury vehicles for their navigation systems. Extremely clear and colored beautifully, the Landice Executive display is extremely easy to read and interact with. 6 custom user ID’s, fully interactive personalized calendars, unimaginable amount of pre-programmed workouts, custom programs, interactive zone timer hear rate programs, all four branches of the military protocol fitness tests, and these are just to name a few. The most significant upgrade from the Cardio Console is the display size, character animation, pre programmed workouts and fitness tests. Instead of watching lines on a display, you will be viewing a male or female character (your choice) running past a lake, up a mountain trail, along a canyon, around a track or climbing up the Statue of Liberty, Eiffel Tower, or the Space Needle. This display takes everything to the next level. The whole purpose of a treadmill display is to create user motivation and if the Executive Console does not get you excited….. The giant LCD display will allow you to view all of the programs in great detail and the ease of use will be very surprising. Landice has made the Executive display for many years and it has come a long way from the green and gray display of years past. The Landice Executive Console will most certainly add new passion to your workouts and if it is in your budget, you will not be disappointed.
